Golden beaches, balmy weather and inviting waves – there’s no denying that Durban really is a surfer’s paradise. And no promenade stroll, or walk along the pier is complete without seeing surfers soaring through the waves – and if you’re not one of them, you probably want to be.
Want to know what it’s like? Just you, the board under your feet and the next wave that’ll take your breath away? Why not go for a surfing lesson – what’s the worst that could happen? You could fall a few times, but you’ll only be landing in the gentle waves of the Addington Beach, an ideal spot for beginners.
And soon, the rest of Durban will be watching you from the pier.
