Complementing the sporting calendar was the return of the hugely popular urban music festival, FACT Durban Rocks. Curated by DJ Tira, the festival featured an all-star lineup of South African artists, including heavyweights like DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small, Cassper Nyovest, and Sjava. The event was renowned for its massive production, intense energy, and for taking place over 12 hours, running from sunset until the early hours.
