If there is anything that will bring Africa together, it’s the arts! The very first eThekwini Pride of Africa Festival will be taking place this weekend, in the hopes of bringing about unity and tolerance through the power of music, art and dance.

The devastation brought about by the xenophobic attacks last year left a giant rift in South Africa, spreading through the continent. This joyous festival will bring together African arts leaders and take over the city of Durban. The ‘warmest place to be’ will be awash with a kaleidoscope of colour; it will beat with the sound of the African drum; it will move with the dancers’ rhythms.

The celebration will start at Albert Park and finish at New Beach. The fun will then continue at Moses Mabhida Stadium’s People’s Park with stars like Thandiswa Mazwai, Mafikizolo and Dream Team taking the stage.

All tickets are available at Computicket. http://on.fb.me/1V5WAZN
